Character Building is a complementary subject, taught alongside traditional school courses designed to strengthen the pupils’ analytical senses and educate them in the areas of self-awareness, empathy, self-control, moral reasoning, problem solving, self-reflection, self-evaluation and other pedagogical methods that can help the child to avoid wrong and destructive choices and motivate them towards righteousness. The educational techniques and training are all together meant to increase their chances of becoming more considerate, righteous, enlightened and successful human beings.
Methodology
The aim of this curriculum is to provide the modern Muslim world with a comprehensive ethical educational programme that enlightens and boosts the values of school-aged children, as well as provide them with the necessary moral, emotional and social skills. These three areas complement one another in development of moral characters and together make a complete Character Building Course.
